Cruising the Pacific

My name is Nathan Isburgh.  I was born January 27th, 1981.  I am a geek.  My interests span the gamut of computers, electronics and software to engines, construction and sailing.  As my beautiful wife puts it, I’m a geek that goes from nerdy to dirty in no time.

I live in Dripping Springs, TX ( outside Austin ) with my wife Misty and 9 year old daughter Christian.  We have a nice home situated on a beautiful 1.7 acre plot of land.  I’m sure many of my posts will be about various projects/repairs around the house.

I work for a small software company as their Senior Unix Systems Administrator.  I also teach Linux at the local community college.  In late 2008 I formed an iPhone software company with a long time friend, and in early 2009 we released our first app, a Flickr client called Reflections.  And somehow, I find time to consult now and again, so if you ever need some advice on unix, web apps, iPhone apps or anything else, drop me a note!

When the Central Texas weather is good to us, I like to spend a little time plying the waters of Lake Travis in my 27′ Catalina sailboat.  I learned how to sail about 5 years ago in the UT Sailing Club.  I’ve been hooked ever since.
